Vampire movies/ books tend to fall into 3 general categories.

1- Romanticized (B-Stoker's Dracula, Ann Rices vampire novels, True Blood)

2- Action (Blade, Underworld)

3- Horror (Salem's Lot, 30 days of night)

I think the reason that The Lost Boys is both a cult classic and my personal favorite vampire movie is that it manages to mix all of these things. For me this is what a vampire is supposed to be.. Attraction and Fear.. Envy and Hate..Sex and Blood.. Life and Death.

Honestly, I would not go so far as to say this person is gay (I find this slur nonsense considering the true context of it) but rather close-minded and judgmental. To say 'Lost Boys' is completely irrelevant to vampires is completely asinine and being the poster of this video I, personally, hate how some users comment to get a rise from others. I've been reading comments on this video since 2006 and 90% are positive and I think looking at that proves whatever this poster is saying is bullshit.
