Blue Öyster Cult are the most underrated rockband in the universum. They are just so f***in great in live and have a many superb albums to their credit.Fantastic and mystic band which i have loved for over thirty years...Mind you this song is another great one....

For a moment there, I thought they were going to break out into UFO's "Rock Bottom". Now there's a jam I'd like to see!

Most live vintage BOC video is, unfortunately, in poor shape, and this one is no exception. The boys ARE hitting on all cylinders in this one though, and it's become my favorite for the song performed live. Thanks Durandal1717 for the gem.

Funny thing is I have always wanted to have a guitar sound like Bucks. Several years ago i had the opportunity at a guitar show to buy an early 70's l.P. deluxe for 700.00. I had no idea that Buck used a deluxe when recording this album (Spectres). It was in a little rough condition, but I think now I would have bought it. I have considered buying an Agile Al model and converting it to mini-humbuckers to try and get his sound.

THERE'S THE 72 LP Deluxe again! What an awesome weapon he wields.....(ex. at 4:43) ...great stuff from The Golden Age of Leather days.

Alan Lanier's organ is great here (as opposed to synthesizer on the actual live album version). Don't know where the film footage (not video) is from but the audio is from King Biscuit Flower Hour Radio Broadcast from Detroit in 1978 from which many songs (but not this one) were happily added to the 2008 Legacy Edition CD of "Some Enchanted Evening". This clip has shown up on VH-1 Classic, More please.

I always preferred this version as well, the one that showed up on SEE always sounded far too thin for me; too bad it didn't show up on the remaster, I would've far preferred a duplicate of this than a cover. The last 2 remasters were pretty disappointing in all honesty...
Another rabid fan gave me a 3-DVD set with tons of miscellanea: interviews, promos, live clips, etc. but I've happened to have it lost at the moment. I'll get the rest up soon as I find it.

Yes, as a matter of fact I am. The title *is* depressing, but the song is kickass. Nice to see Eric in the zone :)
Specters... Hm... Death Valley Nights is my favorite off of that one. Wonder if YouTube has anything DVN-flavored.
Also, BÖC, what's wrong with Europe? It's a nice little continent, the people are optimally disturbed, some are willing to give out cash to strange bands... One might even say it's tour-worthy.
Wink, wink, nudge, nudge. NUDGE. NUDGE.
...
Please?

As far as I know, aside from the occasional UK tour, they like to neglect Europe. Sad, I know... What's worse is the massive diehard fans-only show that everyone's been waiting for has only one date, set in NYC, meaning that even those of us in the states are as unlikely to see it.
As for Spectres, to be honest only Nosferatu and Fireworks spoke to me on the level of previous work. Death Valley Nights and this are also good, but overall it was pretty much depressing as the titles.
