it is relevant to the comment you made. if it was your job that was cut, you would have said different. how low can the market rate go? we are already in fuel poverty. the government SHOULD bloody well produce legistlation in our favour! what else are they there for? check out the banking system before you go on about market rates. fractional reserve banking. go take a look. also take a good long hard look at the EU and the REAL reasons that the country is falling apart.

There is the simple fact that if you want a job you have to be willing to work at a market rate to provide a service that people are willing to pay for. if someone is able to undercut you then you need to lower your prices or improve your skills, not get government to legislate in your favour so that undercutting you is illegal.

How about this, if employers aren't allowed to employ foreigners, then workers aren't allowed to spend wages on foreign goods? no holidays abroad, no imported cars/electronics/ foods etc.
