@SUCMADIC1000 they are one of the godfathers of grunge. mabye you don't care for grunge and that's ok but i think that qualifies as an important part in music history, plus they are an awesome band. do some research before you start whining like a douche.

I think this short vid was a bit out of context. I can totally understand what they are saying even though they come off pretentious. IMO jazz guitarists for example, are incredibly talented. Or lets say some one like Steve Via or Shawn Lane, incredibly talented musicians but.... I don't like it... so what.

@heretherenothing Music is not merely art. Art and imagery is art. Music itself is Fact. It is in all truth... The final frontier of sentient life. After science is mastered and people teleport anywhere in the universe instantly and live forever with no disease... All that will be left is music and the ever increasing complex relationships between one cluster of notes and another cluster of notes, further complicated by rhythm.
