A dance of our own composition, in the style of the village of Longborough. It's called "Loveless", in honour of our dear departed friend, Father Kenneth Loveless.

Filmed during the Thaxted Ring Meeting 2009, we were also lucky enough to have Dr Denis Smith accompanying us once again on accordion.

  • There is something wonderfully evocative about the playing (especially the chords and the life in it... nice one). It smacks of Kenneth Moore, the film 'Genevieve' etc . I love it. It also reminds us that a massed battery of thumping melodeons is not, actually, the only possible approach to Morris music.

  • gosh these lads was bonny, never seen owt like it, like them ballot dancers only with pan ash if you knows me meaning, lovley outfits too, sort of bank of england like, real posh like outstandin even, i raise me pot to old john bull !

  • Beautifully danced as ever. I really enjoyed watching this in the massed show later on that evening.
