synthesizer demo track by RetroSound

Quasimidi The Raven Max Synthesizer (1996)

"Das Würfelspiel"

here I show the live performance possibilities;
I use the internal pattern sequencer (self-made and factory sounds and pattern) and the motivator (here as arpeggiator) and change the sounds in real time.

  • You guys who want every synth he plays in his videos, remembers it's not the machine that's making the music, it's the man BEHIND the machine. You might not be able to do anything of what he does with his synths. Even if you have the exact same equipment in front of you. Don't be so focussed on the gear itself, it's the player/programmer that matters :)

  • @bytex666 agreed! the man and the machine ;)

  • Really nice I like how you use the internal sequencer.

  • @keyboardjeff thank you! :)

  • @bytex666 i own a raven and there are not so many things to do with it... it does everything alone.... i just hate its poor filters !!!

  • Super Awesome job !!! : ))

  • ALEA IACTA EST!!! Nichts geht mehr oder besser gehts nicht :D

  • Great sounds, some remind me of Jean Michel Jarre.

  • @maltcus This is one of the reasons why guys like Jean-Michel Jarre paints over the logos of all his synths on stage. He doesn't want the audience to focus on what synth makes what sound, but focus on the music.

    Even if he has synths you have yourself, like a Roland D-50, you're not certain to make the same music as he does with it. If you do, what's the point? Just emulating someone else is fun only for a while.

  • @bytex666 totally agree with you. People get to caught up in gear. Don't get me wrong I am a gear junky but, you could give these guys any cheap programmable synth. Something beautiful will happen. I know skill over gear any day

  • @retrosound72

    Kannst ja mal von TD das Intro für Streethawk auf dem Raven ausprobieren :D
