Shostakovich - prelude

Kogan playing some Shostakovich´s prelude. It´s amazing how Kogan´s playing style really fits in this kind of music, I can´t think of anyone else playing it. Shostakovich sense of harmony is incredible too, I think he uses a lot of half dimished chords as tonic, something like Dinicu does in the Hora Stacatto (arr. Heifetz), so the melody sounds major, and the harmony sounds minor, and everything sounds funny, cause reminds of something usual but it´s very usual. I really don´t know what he does actually, judge for yourself :) .

Kogan tocando um preludio do Shostakovich. É incrivel como o estilo de kogan casa com esse tipo de musica, eu naum consigo pensar em ninguém melhor que ele pra tocar isso. A harmonia de Shostakovich tb é muito interessante, acho que ele usa acordes meio diminutos como tonica, algo como Dinucu faz na hora stacatto (arr. Heifetz), assim a melodia soa maior, e a harmonia soa menor, e tudo soa engraçado, pois lembra algo comum, mas é muito inovador. Eu naum sei o que ele faz exatamente, julgue por vc mesmo :) .
