good news, gasquet is not suspended anymore...he proved that he didnt use cocaine.

it's pretty amazing how gasquet handles high balls up his shoulders. he sort of "jumps" in it and still not messing with his timing. federer needs to learn shots like that, to have a chance against nadal's high topspin balls on any surface.

@mahroflcoptergo3ssoi good joke

@PhilippedeHerte i see you've changed your tune. first you said it means i know zero about tennis, and now, after i pointed out your mistake, you say i'm a big mouth tennis hack lol
i'd like to see you play. i bet when you try and serve an ace the ball hits you on the head and you smash your racquet on the ground lol

@jdhf983y4uhu I'm not going to debate a ridiculous nobody. The tennis consensus is that Gasquet has the best 1HB in the game and aesthetically the most beautiful. If you think otherwise then all it means is that you're a big mouth tennis hack.

@PhilippedeHerte no, i haven't got a bridge to sell. it's hardly the greatest claim in the world, 1000s of juniors have played the orange bowl and/or trained with pros. you just don't like it because you tried to sound clever and ended up looking like a tit.
-
@jdhf983y4uhu Yeah, I'm sure you also have a beautiful bridge to sell. The bullshit one reads on YouTube...

@PhilippedeHerte i knew enough to play pro sets with two gand slam champions and play a few rounds of the orange bowl main draw and have boxes delivered to me full of all the equipment i wanted for free. i'll take the opinions of the people mentioned rather than a you as i suspect they know a little more than you when it comes to tennis.

@jdhf983y4uhu ?The consensus is that Gasquet has the most beautiful and effective backhand in the game. You're one in a million who thinks otherwise, which tells me that you know zero about tennis.

@MaratSafinVideos Bro i have PLAYED longer than you have spent time fapping to pics of lil kids so fuck off
Wouldn't the shot be stronger if he would put all his weight on the front foot?

Yes, the 2nd shot in the video is an exception, not the rule. He normally steps across his body with his right foot and shifts his weight to that foot. That's what recreational players should do all the time imo. Gasquet established the intentional jump with his left foot as an effective option to deal with high bouncing balls. He's perfectly balanced throughout the shot. That and his coordinative skills allow him to hit the ball with great control, extreme spin and a lot of power.

i don't like that backhand, using a loop on the takeback looks ugly. i don't know about anyone in the last 15 years, but the only other player i can think of that had a loopy back-swing like that was Thierry Champion.
do you think using a loop helps hit high bouncing shots?

I think the way of takeback doesn't matter as long as he gets underneath the ball to brush it upwards. The advantage of a loop is added racket head speed, but you also need more time to set up the swing. If your timing isn't perfect, you might hit it late.
