Dietrich Buxtehude (1637-1707)~Ich bin eine Blume zu Saron~
From "De Profundis" Bach, Bruhns, Buxtehude, Tunder (2008)
Ricercar Consort
Stephan MacLeod~Basse
(Basse, 2 violons & continuo)
Ricercar Consort~Ricercar, to seek, has been the underlying motto of the Ricercar Consort ever since the foundation. It was in 1985, with J.S. Bach´s musical offering, that the ensamble made its first consert tour, having already acquired a solid international reputation with its recordings, notably in German Baroque cantatas and instrumental music.
Today, under the direction of Philippe Pierlot, the Ricercar Consort continues to explore the Baroque repertoire, from chamber music to opera and oratorio, and to enthral music-lovers with performances that are both profound and rigorous.

  • This is a beautiful work! I really enjoy the braiding of counterpoint between the voice and other instruments. There is a delicacy in the melodic lines, which this singer obviously enjoys. His delight is catching!
