Bothell 42 Union 21

Union trailed the host Bothell Cougars 28-7 in the 3rd quarter at Pop Keeney Stadium Friday night. The Titans managed to cut the lead to 28-21 early in the 4th quarter, however Bothell shut down Union from there out and punched in a few more scores for the 42-21 preliminary round win.

Statically the game was pretty much even. Union's running attack of Brandon Brody-Heim and Zak Browning ran for 111 yards, 75 for Brody-Heim and 36 for Browning. While Bothell's running attack of Luke Proulx and Seymour Ottorbech combined for 107 rushing yards, 78 fro Proulx and 29 for Ottorbech. Union QB Kaben Humphrey-Butler was 12 of 20 for 204 yards while Bothell QB Braden Foley was 8 of 10 for 206 yards.

However Bothell scored twice as many points as the Titans, and points are what matter most.

Union failed to make the playoffs for the first time since 2007, the schools first year.

With the loss Union falls to 7-3 on the season. The Titans season is over.
