This is a short "burning" animation I made with my low poly flamer robot. I mostly focused on making some cool-looking fire effects for it.

The robot was modeled in 3DS Max, UV mapped in Deep UV and textured in Photoshop. Some of the particle effects were created in Particle Illusion and the rest in Max.

Unfortunately, YouTube blured the crap out of it.

See more images of this model and others I made at www.dxbigd.deviantart.com (more)

  • how long did this take to do and what program did u use to make it? 5 stars

  • Thanks man. The animation and effects took a few hours (did it in a day) and the concept/modeling/mapping/texturing of the robot took maybe 8 hours. The effects were mostly made with Particle Illusion, the modeling, animation and rendering was done in Max and the texture in Photoshop.

  • fire sentry is out of the engineer's depth. however laser sentries are more his abilities.

  • This looked like a Wolverine from Command and Conquer to me :) Nice, I like C&C

  • Now this are some cool fire effects.
