  • i have been using the wix more

  • actually this filter fits a 2001 ford taurus , which are all the same mounting threads.

  • The conclusion is what you make of it . i usually pick the mid grade filter based on price and build .

  • i think im going to take that fram off my truck tomorrow... damn you pretty orange color

  • I cut my filter apart and found a used condom, a spatula and the skin of a baseball in there.... could this be indicative of a problem? Thank god my high quality Pure One filter caught these things that a Fram wouldn't have.

  • ah what happened to the good ol days when you replace the cartrige (with a roll of toilet paper no joke) and keep the houseings and clean up a big mess :)

  • I usually just stick with OEM stuff. It's hard to visually see which filter is better unless you're looking at something useless like a fram. These really should be hooked up and run so you can see the pressure drop across and the level of filtering. It's pretty hard to tell how good a material is at filtering by looking at it dry. You could easily be surprised with a 40 pleat performing better than a 60 pleat. Just saying i'd stick to the scientific method compared to looking and guessing.

  • Video + Cat = 50% more likes? You humans and your damn cattage. >=(

  • Random cattage. Hi kitty! *Cat doesn't give a damn*

  • @ROCKSOLID19 5w30 would be a pretty low viscosity oil, not much lower than that for automotive oils, you do have your 5w20's and your 0w20's but i certainly wouldn't call 5w30 high viscosity

  • No K&N?

  • I always use high quality, reusable oil fiters that are made of billet aluminium and I never use paper element filters.

Btw the Motorcraft has very tight pleats because it is designed to run on high viscosity oils such as 5W30, 5w10 and other fully synthetic oils.

  • ( Cost vs Quality ) So what did you decide would be best for your vehicle?
