Specter exits GOP

Sen. Arlen Specter (D-Pa.) announced that he'd switch parties today on Capitol Hill, in a likely bid to deflect Pat Toomey's challenge to his seat in the Republican primary next year.

The implications are laid out by Gil Smart, associate editor of the Sunday News in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

This clown Spector left the GOP because he knew he would lose the primary next year to Toomey. Spector is a power mad politician with no core beliefs, that's all.
