The Iranian Shahab-3 [alternatively designated Zelzal (Earthquake)] missile is said to be a derivative of the 1,000-1,300 kilometer range North Korean Nodong-1. The Nodong missile was developed by North Korea with Iranian financial assistance. Around one year ago Iran claimed for the first time to have developed and produced a laser gyroscope INS system coupled with GPS as backup. With that guidance system, the Shahab-3B could archive an accuracy of around 30-50m CEP or even less. This new improved accuracy was apparently the reason why the warhead weight has been significantly decreased - to suggested 500kg. This, namely, is sufficient for pin-point target attack capability. Another reason for the 500kg warhead would be the improved range, which is reported to be meanwhile between 1.700 and 2.500km.

Iran's pledge to give U.N. inspectors access in the coming weeks to a second uranium enrichment site that Western powers said was hidden for three years, and plans for follow-up talks, bought Tehran a reprieve from tougher sanctions in the near future."
looks like iran is giving in.. so much for all the iranian tough talk.
no date or time stamp and no proof iran fired them. just like the weapons of mass destruction in iraq, there is no proof. the american government just want to go to war with them. american government is corrupt and created the swine flu.
Always a so called threat since Reagan was president. What about Mexico the real threat? Here McCain and Co. go again to look for weapons of mass destruction that do not exist. There is no change!!!
Israel can threaten Iran all it wants but the got to know that long range missiles will lay to waste all of Dimona and its military bases throughout the country if they decide to go this route. American invasion planners must take into account that their Qatar headquaerters will be within range too. Maybe, Iran can not be robbed and raped as easely as Iraq was? Talks anyone?
