"Spaceship Study" Visual effects shots

This goes out to every boy who wished his toy starship was real.

These are a series of shots I did for motion tools II as a part of a Motiontrack experiment. I captured my epic roommate Cobalt flying my favorite Star Wars toy starship around the room, and then added in smoke, lens flares, sparks (on the landing), and a color grade in After Effects. I used motiontracking exclusively to make sure the VFX elements were locked onto the video layer.
