title says it all. The piece we're playing over is "Joint Ventures" by the Johannsen brothers off of the album Heavy machinery. It features tasty diminished/outside licks by Allan Holdsworth check it out if you can find it.

  • wrong, unrecognized guitar players who are good and also the generic average-joe radio rock band are all a dime a dozen, technical guitarists are paying their respects to those who exercised the boundaries of music, where-as your "recognized" bands keep doing the same things over and over to sell to a country full of morons who are too scared and lazy to step out of their own limits and open their minds

their may be tons of bedroom shredders, but there are even more wannabe rock bands in bars

  • The guy is sick...some people around here seem offended by speed and tech, but why not just appreciate it for what it is. Admitedly, the market is small for this style, but it's so refreshing to see him play compared to all the dumbass rockstar celebrities out in the mainstream media brainwash. So rock on Marsh, and make it faster...

  • Hey,if he can play this, just imagine what else he can play!!!

I admire Marshall, and everybody should too.

  • @Fluffypopcicle You should check out Damjan Pejcinoski - "Hunting the chicken" That's amazing hybrid picking!

  • Just to stop people ahead of time, don't feed the troll.

  • @skatefallen15

Yeah, Buckethead is a total beast with hybrid picking. Most unique use of hybrid picking I have ever heard, it's amazing. Hybrid picking should be used in genres that aren't jazz more often. Hell, Buckethead is a beast with everything.

  • wussy elevator music

  • all these critics, let's see your video retorts...lol

if any of you critics have anything else to say, here's my response ahead of time...blah, blah...fucking blah

  • Formidable technique but lacking in tasteful truly melodic eighth note phrasing when he slows down..that's a question of maturity I guess

  • ANIMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL,VERY VERY GOOOOOD

  • guy's technically amazing, but not digging his phrasing at all on this one
