Music video submission for the D&AD 2007 global student awards for Thom Yorke's song 'the clock' from the album 'the eraser'
The theme of the song is the environment, and so what I tried to do with the concept of the video was to show subtle ways in which the environment is affected everyday, i.e carbon emissions, and the general publics participation in that which eventually leads to a plausible future scenario based on people's visions of a world post ozone destruction/mass degradation. It follows a day in the life of one person and spreads out. The goal was not to approach the environmental issue in an obvious way, as the effect on the planet and people's contribution to that effect is NOT obvious (which is partly why no one seems to be doing anything, and indeed time is running out) It was done from principal photography to final DVD in 3days. It was not shortlisted (no surprise with over 4000 entrants from all over the world, most likely with better resources than mine), but I'm happy with it and thought I'd share. A few glitches in the compression (three curiously well timed white flashes. the 'snow' or 'interference' on some of the images was left deliberately) to put it up online, but otherwise, Enjoy
@furrivision - 3 years too late dude, but thanks ^_^
