Instruction video on how to terminate a Cat5e or Cat6 keystone jack. Necessary tools are Cat5e Shielded cable, 110 punchdown tool with cut blade, technicians scissors, razor knife, and shielded keystone jack.

  • Wouldn't it have been easier to use the pull string to strip the jacket, so to avoid potentially cutting through the insulation on one of the wires? Would it also have worked better to have placed the cable jacket closer to the keystone before punching down the wires, so that the folded back drain wire and foil wrap would have automatically been in contact with the outer shell of the keystone, minimizing exposure of the pairs?
