  • I think the title should be The Romantic Life of a Decorator which it has not much to do with Interior Design as a career. It takes years of studies to get a License to practice Interior Design. There is a difference.

  • And yet, after years of studying design, most designers still have no idea how to make money! This is about marketing and selling yourself so you can make money doing what you love. There is no difference there.

  • I am a graphic designer ..not an interior designer ,yet I am talented with Interior designing too, I even helped out many family, friends and relatives decorating their homes and rooms .. I think the Interior Design business here where I live is more successful ...now I'm a little disappointed... I wish that I took it at college instead of my GD :( what to do.

  • If all the aspects mentioned above are not what you are looking for then it wont matter how much you get paid you are not going to like it. Design is not only about style but its more importantly about function and form.

  • I think you are missing the point of the job of a Interior Designer. First of all, yes you get to do the fun things like pick out samples, colors and put furniture in rooms but its SO much more to that with. Designers get to space plan, pick out furniture and lighting, meet with clients and contractors, work with architects and electricians as well as work in a TEAM. All the "negatives" you listed are such a small part of designing that it doesnt even matter if you have to do them.

  • this video is depressing...

  • nice video

  • I agree on that one.
