This television commercial, produced by Cox Media, resulted in very positive results for Glendale Community College to help drive new students enrollment. By using an opt-in Interactive cable product, GCC was able to track students who requested more information via their television remote control and followed it up with a direct mail campaign where they could directly track enrollments via cable advertising and direct mail. Television stations that proved successful that could work well for other community colleges, universities and trade schools alike are: ESPN, MTV, E Entertainment, FX, Spike, VH-1, TBS, TNT, USA, and others. Cable can be a very effective alternative to broadcast especially for colleges that do not focus on on-line enrollment as you can focus on zoning. One secret for this demographic especially if they're focusing on high school graduates on summer vacation is that day-time and overnights can be very valuable. Always the lowest CPM and CPP this is a strategy used on both broadcast and cable. With cable it is recommended to incorporate prime-time as well.
