My son and daughter were with me, 13yrs and 11. They loved it and have been going to BBKings with me for Derringer,Mountain, Winter Bros., Sabbath at Radio City and Deep Purple. They are amazed at how much talent these guys have and what incredible musicians can do with their instruments. They are both into this music now, and I'm glad. There is nothing there for them to see with rap and hip hop, and they finally see that.

Hey, Phil-My nephew (not a kid-in his 30's) and I sat just left of this camera angle during the show. Quite the experience, huh? It was great to see and hear two generations of guitar masters come together for a special night. Also scanned the crowd and noticed a wide variety of young and old(er). It's nice to know that there are those in the younger generation who won't fall into the "commercial crap trap." Thanks for sharing the jam with us. Looking forward to "Going Down." You da man!

I'm not a fan of Satch's shredding, but Joe is the best player goin today, and its because he NEVER sacrifices guitar tone, just like his idol. Leslie & Joe together are THE ONLY TWO TONE GODS left in Rock. Its amazing to see here what Leslie West had created so many years ago.. so few learned from him... but Stevie Ray and Satriani DID. And for those in attendance in NYC that night: "We done just witnessed Rock n Roll history..." Joe was a HUGE class act respectin' Leslie as he did. Priceless.

I was at this show as well. GREAT STUFF. And MAN, that place is amazing. One of the best venues EVER!!!!
He's a 70 year old, cancer survivor, diabetic, ex-heroin adict. I love the guy, but its amazing he can even still stand up, let alone the fact his voice may be as good as its ever been. I think you are being a little too critical for a live performance, which by the way isn't supposed to be recorded anyway.
