Third Doctor/Master clips

A few random Pertwee/Delgado scenes I found amusing or interesting. What I liked about the Third Doctor/Delgado's Master dynamic is that even though they are enemies, and The Master is murderous villain killing people with no remorse, Pertwee and Delgado are really able to sell that these guys were friends once.

Pertwee and Delgado had such good chemistry because they were good friends in real life, too. Delgado's death in 1973 - car crash while on location for a movie, if I remember rightly - was one of the reasons Pertwee left Doctor Who.

According to Pertwee in an interview, he and Delgado were told that the Doctor and Master were brothers. In the (abandoned, thank god) American reboot, the two were going to join forces to look for their father, the Time Lord Ulysses. And then in RTD's run, they turn out just to have been good friends.

@lunathelunatic I heard it that he didn't wanna be the Doctor but when asked after Sherlock was done filming (when Smith had the role) if he would be in it he wouldn't wanna be in an episode...as in just the one episode which to me = 2 parter/recurring role (ie the master). Simm already exploded his wife
