the comments at the end are helpful but the video part really isn't. you say yourself you can't tell the difference in picture quality on a youtube video. the difference in color and everything else just seems like a sample of the auto settings, not of the camera. a dude who plans to just use auto settings should get something cheaper anyway.

i like that the canon is more customizable. plus if a part breaks it's easy to just replace the part. sony is better for fast action like skate vids.

@2migell vx2000 and vx2100s are the same cameras its just the vx2100 records onto mini dvds and the vx2000 records onto digital cassettes.

I like the Sony... Wow! And you were trying to say that if you use a good editor you can get the same crappy results as the Canon? Until just now, I actually thought the Canon would have won... but seeing this video, I think I will have to go with a Sony!

I agree the VX2100 has a much better look and I have seen the footage on large screens with fantastic resolution and crispness. Canon nice camera but too much bias in to magentas creating that orange warmth which is too much.
