Frame by frame colour filter and regrading of the musical number "Wonderful Guy" from the film "South Pacific". This is an attempt to digitally remove the amber colour filter permanently recorded on the film.
Great job! I also attempted to remove the filters for "A Cockeyed Optimist" and "Bali Ha'i" - check out my channel to see the results. What software did you use?
omg thank you for doing this. i find that the coloring in the movie version really distracting, especially during Bali Hai when you can hardly even see the actors faces because of the color. this must have taken you a long time. keep practicing!
Interesting take. Both interepretations are appealing for their own reasons. The original, however "contrived" the effects some may feel - has that, well, "original" and other-worldly big-Hollywood picture feel to it. This - and Cockeyed Optimist - two of the great scenes/tunes in musical-land. I understand the mis-synch on the audio for your experiment, but unfortunate nevertheless. Just don't look too close at her face I guess!
Love this!!!
