Blackpool Trams 2011, the final night

Blackpool tramways final day of operation in 2011 was on the 6th November. The new modernised tramway with the Flexity Outlook 2 trams is due to start operation in April 2012. Many of the traditiuonal trams have been withdrawn and wil not see further service in Blackpool. This video shows the final trams to run late in the evening of the 6th November.

The modernised balloon trams, ie all the ones fitted with the new entrance doors are being retained plus the illuminated cars and some of the trams of historical interest. The centenary class single deckers and the twin cars will not run again in Blackpool. Other trams no longer running are the Jubilee class double deckers 761/762.
