There are several public meetings tonight including the Brooklyn Center City Council at 7 p.m., the Brooklyn Park City Council at 7 p.m., both at their respective city halls and the Anoka-Hennepin School Board at 6:30 p.m. at its administrative office in Coon Rapids. The school board is set to decide on which district schools will be closed next year.
The Robbinsdale District 281 Legislative Action Coalition has scheduled an education forum from 6 to 7:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Golden Valley Library. Tim Strom, from the Minnesota House of Representatives Research Department, will be the guest speaker. The forum will focus on becoming comfortable with the education funding system in Minnesota.
The Crystal-New Hope-East Plymouth League of Women Voters will feature a panel discussion on the significance of the 2010 census 6:30 p.m. this Wednesday, Sept. 30, in the council chambers at New Hope City Hall. The meeting is open and free to the public.
