Sen. Murkowski, the ranking Republican on the Senate Energy Committee today introduced a bipartisan disapproval resolution to stop the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from regulating greenhouse gas emissions under the Clean Air Act.

Sen. Murkowskis resolution co-sponsored by 35 Republicans and three Democrats comes in the wake of the EPAs recent endangerment finding, which will result in damaging new regulations that endanger Americas economy.

Sen. Murkowski said EPA regulation could force businesses being regulated to cut jobs or close their doors for good; severely restrict domestic energy production, increase our dependence on foreign energy suppliers and threaten our national security; make housing less affordable; and make consumer goods more expensive.

  • Congress has NO expertise on climate research OR CO2 the scientifically proven heat trapping greenhouse gas. The Earth has a balance of CO2 and we're upsetting that balance by introducing large amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere as we also saturate and acidify the oceans from excess CO2. Leave the science to actual scientists.

  • CLEAN OUR GULF COASTAL WATERS!

Where are YOU in the clean up??????

  • Thank God in heaven this bitch didn't get her way. WTF are these people thinking. Oh yeah lets give oil companies as much leverage as they can get and fuck the EPA's shit up at the same time Fuckin' awesome..

  • @PietPassword, yes it changes . . . . what's new? The snake oil salesmen, are trying to make money off that which we can't change. Hopefully enough Americans have enough sense to stop this foolishness.

  • A voice of reason! go Murkowski! The Leftists must be stopped in their wrecking of America.

  • I just said Al Gore was a fraud. What didn't you understand?

  • A bit defensive aren't we. Google Lord Monckton if you want information on CLIMATE. Al Gore has been shown to be a fraud and has personally benefited financially. It's ok for him to make money of climate change bullshit, but oil companies shouldn't profit from providing us with energy?

  • Why would the EPA wants to pursue this regulation right now, when we should be focussed on getting our economy back on track ?

Because the EPA is setting the path to the economic environment of the 2020's, if these steps are not taken, the USA won't be able to compete with Asia on the energy market. Once more that's not ur issue as you might not be there anymore. It is our issue, so we want to take the right decisions.

I agree that we need to find solutions for the labor in Alaska.

  • I am french and i can say that it is a shame. The American senate should show the way instead of driving you, American people, in a wall. You will get fucked by China because you are enable to be organized and forsee main challenges. For the climate change skeptic, put your money into the game, bet that the temperature wouldn't rise by more than 3 degres by 2050. You wouldn't do that i guess.

Lisa is 52, in 10 years she is out of the decision so that's nice to see her fucking the Earth, bravo !

  • This is the most shameful attempt I have seen. Congress and the Supreme Court have directed the EPA in the endangerment finding.

Shameful what money will buy. I am ashamed to see an oil lobbyist speaking through a senators mouth. Shameful.
