Vancouver Airport Taser Video Released

Video of the tasering and death of Robert Dziekanski at Vancouver International Airport has been released.

The tape shows Dziekanski clearly agitated, pacing and sweating behind a glass security door.

He is shown trying to communicate with passengers on the other side.

Dziekanski picks up a computer keyboard and throws it to the floor; a short time later he also picks up a small table and throws that against a glass window.

Later four RCMP officers arrive and approach Dziekanski.

He is not showing any quick forward movements - he walks away from the officers and is then tasered once, falling to the ground. He is seen struggling and is heard moaning and yelling.

He is tasered a second time.

The four officers then hold him to the ground until he stops struggling.

Dziekanski's body lies motionless on the airport floor.

As someone training to be a Police officer in Canada, I want to say that these officers deserved to be charged for what they did. Never have I seen a clearer textbook example of "excessive force".

i blame the airport and robert dziekansk but robert dziekanski to a way lesser extent. Vancouver is a international airport. For the love of christ you don't tell me that you dont have a polish transator? and as a travelor don't you think its a smart idea to have a phrasebook with you or at least learn a little bit of the language and do research before you go? I know this is canada and its very multi cultural but you can't expect that everyone knows polish.

Safety Tip: When a police officer orders you to do something, do it or suffer the consequences. These officers acted appropriately & the gentleman caused his own problems...

Sorry THENORTHHAWK your a rookie those cops responded with the appropriate amount of force if you have a physical condition that might cause you to die when fighting with the cops DON'T GET IN TROUBLE AND DON'T FIGHT THE COPS.

@kiddhitta have you followed along with the inquiry? All 4 of the RCMP officers lied in court and are facing punishment for doing so. Regardless of the situation, we have law enforcement killing an individual and then lying about it. You should really research more into the topics you wish to ignorantly rant about.

@weazz the airport staff treats everyone like shit. it doesnt mean you freak out. if someone from canada came into and airport throwing chairs at the window and causing a sence, they would have done the same thing
