The social fabric in the west in general isn't strong. That doesn't help guide the children as they grow up for long. I should say young adults. Well, those need help & assistance till their college/university life & even later. Everything is mutual of course, they should visit & look after their parents later too. What happens is an individualistic society & culture. You r supposed to leave home once your 16 or so. Plus they tell you, you are free! They are passive, they let u go with the flow!
