I normally aim for 8 reps per set for upper body exercises. I usually try to make it so that I almost fail on the last rep, but sometimes I'm able to do 10 if I've been training with that weight for a little while. I think this works for me, because it's a balance between heavy weights, with 4-6 reps, and lighter weights with 10-12 reps. Just my two cents fellas.

@TheJasey93 getting injured. like when they say "snap some shit up!" that pretty much just means getting injured really badly

I'm sorry, but I love starting my benchpress at 320 for 5 reps. I either do 320 for 5 reps, 4 reps, then 3X3, or I do 320 for 5 reps, 4 reps, then 345 for 2 reps, then 370 for 1 rep. I am not at the 2 year mark yet, so if I don't snap some shit up before then, I'm good right?

A wise man once told me, "lift today so you can lift tomorrow". Fits this discussion perfectly
