As Rhonda Byrne's The Secret DVD movie, audio CDs, and book are being featured on The Oprah Show, our San Diego CBS affiliate features our successes at The Zen Merchant in a follow up story on The Secret.

As an update: We are pretty much changing our tune in regards to The Secret after having personal dealings with the marketing administration of The Secret products and seeing many of the cast members in person. As we first suspected, but were trying to keep an open mind, The Secret, its cast, and administration are all about MONEY. We'll be continuing a blog in the near future at http://the-secret-book.com where we'll elaborate on the pros and cons of The Secret and I'll let you in on a little secret here; there are more cons than pros.

Typically, I tend to delete any comments referencing religion so as not to get into these useless battles. I thought I'd give it a try and it's probably not going to work out. The bottom line is that The Secret made no reference to the Bible or religion because it would limit their marketing demographic and they wouldn't have captured as much profit as they did. The simple fact is that The Secret's producers and cast are ALL ABOUT MONEY. Yes, I've quite changed my tune since this news broadcast

I for one agree with

Tellingulikeitis but I wouldn't go as far as saying that people who purchase these programs are stupid. In this case, people are spending a ridiculous amount of money on ideas that you can find on the Internet for free. It's my personal opinion that these people are being conned.

I agree with both sentiments, except yours were more tactful. There's a lot more to this than can be posted in a couple lines. The-Secret-Book(dot)com is now dedicated to showing the pros and cons to The Secret.

Indieretailer, there are a lot of smart people w/ good ideas and valid points who misspell certain words or use certain words incorrectly. Attempting to invalidate his opinion by pointing out spelling errors is absolutely ridiculous.

"Smart people with good ideas" can make their point (valid or not) more tactfully without generalizing a mass of people as "stupid" and arrogantly laughing at them for THEIR stupidity. I don't necessarily believe in your opinions, but they were made tactfully and without demeaning vulgarity.

I have some honest questions here.

Beethoven was a sad and angry man. He thought about and wrote music about a lot of angry things. He was forever single despite passionate interest in a number of women. How do we know he used the "secret" and how did he make it work for him?

Lincoln was assassinated. Did he accidentally visualize something that attracted that event to him?

Than Oprah & Rhonda Bryne would go around the world to Childrens Hospitals and TEACH this FRAUD to the desperate parents and the patients! They do not=because it is all FAKE!
