SVS planned to run at the Bonneville Salt Flats but weather cancelled the event so we travelled to The Texas Standing Mile in Oct 2006. The Stryker TTRS was loaded with all the ballast for Bonneville and there wasn't enough time to re setup the car so it ran at Texas once again with 4700lbs. SVS set the E85 record and all time fastest speed at the Texas Mile at 216.65mph. Once again we raised the boost and shreaded the gears in the T56. svspower.com

  • why does it have to weigh 4700lbs?

  • Right before this event the car was prepped to race at Bonneville and why it weighed 4700lbs. The Salt Flats were rained out and last minute we decided to race at Goliad. We were unable to get the car realigned without the extra weight in it so we ran it with the ballast in it. We can add up to 1300lbs of ballast if needed. The Viper weighs 3800lbs and w/ driver is 4000lbs.

When we ran 247mph at Bonneville in 2001 it weighed over 5000lbs :)
