NARRATIVE DESCRIPTION
CHERYCE is in a city park. She is waiting and fidgeting with her mobile phone. CHERYCE is in a city park. She is waiting and fidgeting with her mobile phone. CAPTAIN HOOK walks up with an envelope in his hand. CAPTAIN HOOK: "Photos of the printing press interior prior to the explosion. You'll find it very interesting. Plus, a thumb-drive with all of Kathryn Bale's movements for the past 48 hours. And, as you already know, she's headed to Minsk." CHERYCE: "Why are you helping me?" CAPTAIN HOOK: "I may need a friend sometime." KATHRYN, wearing her travel dress and coat, stands near the railing on a ferryboat. She takes in a wide view then looks down at her phone. She sees a map located on the phone and we can tell that she is getting close to Odessa. Her fingers punch a few buttons on the phone and she moves it to her ear. KATHRYN: "I can't believe you have me going through Odessa, after all." KATHRYN looks out across the water. JACK: "You sounded like you've had quite a go of it, Little Dove. I figured you could take some time at the beach during your layover." KATHRYN: "At the beach, Jack? There are people who want me dead and you're sending me to the beach?!" JACK: "All of Europe is on vacation! You wanted to be anonymous and this is the only way I could do it..." KATHRYN: "Okay, I'll play. A little R&R... you'll pay or this!" JACK: "Be safe Little Dove." JACK hangs up the phone. "Olivia!" he hollers. "Who do we know in Minsk?" OLIVIA: "One of the investors has an office in Minsk. Luther went there when we did an expose of him last month." JACK: "Get Luther up here immediately." EXT. DAY - BEACH (ODESSA) KATHRYN sits on the beach; her shoulder bag is next to her. Her bare back shows a slight bruise or two. We see her eyes just over the notes she brought from the apartment in Rome. At the bottom of the pile of notes in her hand is the envelope with her sister's note. KATHRYN: "Using children to mule your drugs around Europe is not okay, Mr. Vasily Petrov. (Pause) Now, how the hell am I going to find you?" INT. NIGHT - Train KATHRYN is overlooking Minsk from the train as it approaches the city. JACK: "Minsk, Luther. What have you got?" LUTHER shifts nervously in his seat. LUTHER: "Not much to say. Quick trip. One of the new investors in the paper is a philanthropist from Minsk. Helped start a hospital. I made a few contacts. I'd have to make some calls." JACK gets serious, "Kathryn is about to arrive in Minsk. I have no idea what in the hell she's doing there, but I'm certain it's not to be a tourist. Find out who we can call for help!" CHERYCE enters her house, gives a perfunctory kiss to TONY. NATHAN comes running up to her: "Mommy!" CHERYCE: "Hi Baby." She gives him a hug. NATHAN: "I pretty much creamed dad in chess." CHERYCE: "Is that so?" NATHAN: "I think he let me win, this time." TONY shakes his head. TONY: "You won it fair and square buddy." CHERYCE: "Go up stairs, I need to talk with your father." NATHAN leaves. CHERYCE: "My contact seems to know what's going on. I think he's with the police because he gave me photographs. One of them puts Olivia in the Printing Press a couple hours before the explosion." TONY: "Honey, she's my daughter." CHERYCE: "I know, I don't understand it either."
