  • Thanks for the upload!

Fantastic seminar, so sad that I've never had the chance to see him.

  • PROGRESSIVE OVERLOAD is the end all be of of muscle growth, and HIT is an excellent way to do it.

  • i just ordered a copy of the book high intensity training training the mike mentser way in order to get a fully understanding of HIT. Have you guys gain results following mike mentser's philosophy?

  • If you love working out, you will hate this routine, cause most times you train a couple of body parts once a week, that's the dilemma i have , it can get pretty boring

  • I enjoy hearing this man speak. RIP Mike.

  • This part of the seminar makes good sense to me!!

  • I saw this guy once on Golds Gym training people his belly was huge I did not understand why he quit working out. But he is a true master mind a real thinker hard to find this in the zombie world of today.

  • @boddobro What pottingshedgene means is that instead of him running 5-6 days a week many miles a day as most long distance runners train, he reduced the days he ran to just 2 days a week running at a faster pace. This has been shown to work. Runner's World did a piece on it @ 5 years ago if I remember right, where marathon runners reduced their training to 3 days a week and running a faster pace. ALL OF THEM IMPROVED THEIR MARATHON TIME (26 miles).

  • greatest workout in the world, anyone volume trainer seeing results would be ten times better on a hit routine if they understood it

  • @pottingshedgene mate this intrigues me. could you explain to me how you applied it distance running? im a massive HIT advocate, but am very interested to hear how you applied it to distance runing? was it just the rest time? or the actual style of training? im perplexed as how you could apply it to distance running. Do tell

  • I've got an update, and what I've found is that there certainly is such a thing as over-trining, but there is also such a thing as under-training, and when I was training only once a week I was under-training. Now I've found that I make my best progress when I train my arms and delts every 72 to 96 hours. I'm a torso guy, and my chest and back overpower my arms and delts, but now that I've found out what works best for me, my delts and arms are catching up to my torso.

  • I have applied HIT to road running and have just got myself to run 28miles on only 1 or two runs per week. The run took me 4hrs 40mins and I am still very strong with the weights (also twice a week at one set per body part). This is also in my 40s.
