Similar to the other videos, a but a bit closer, slower and and showing a finishing touch of screwing the carabiner locked as it closes.

This only works with some screw gate carabiners which have loose sleeves. Personally, I prefer carabiners which don't close (and thus also open) so easily. However, I purchased this carabiner (Trango Superfly Screwlock) for a specific application due to it's size and weight (43 g). See another shot of this technique here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjHPmYc3UGwtechnique.[/url]

I found a different camera to shoot a higher quality video than I had posted before. Unfortunately, I only had this small Asymmetric D carabiner (Trango Superfly Screwlock) and 4mm cord. Tying a one handed Munter hitch is easier with a heavier rope and a larger carabiner.

  • not one handed, you're moving and keeping tight the dead end of the rope with your other hand. Nice slow demo though.

  • haha, nice, i've never seen that before (the locking)
