No problem with your questions. I don't think you'll have any problem finding a coffeeshop open for business. The New Year's celebration is a big party. The coffeeshops aren't going to close up and miss out on that business... unless they sell out of their supplies of weed! Different shops have different hours of operation, some close early, some are open well past midnight. You should have no worries.

i know im probly doin ur head in wiv all these questions but i also wanted to know whether the coffeeshops are goin to be open on new years day seen as its a public holiday and if they r open what time will they shut? cheers mate

It's tough to say. During any major holiday tourist event the bars and shops are going to be pretty well packed with people. For a quiet joint, you might find sitting in your room the best option because I'm pretty sure everyone is going to be in party mode. You might find a nice corner somewhere, but I have no real recommendations.

i was also wonderin whether the coffeeshops and bars r gunna be too rammed with people or can u still find a place to chill if u want a quiet joint??

The whole video was filmed from the same spot. And most of it was of urinals! How about moving around a bit??? I nearly died from boredom.

Did/do you know that ...
the term "Red Light" district originated from far east Asia? Before there were light bulbs, a red lantern hung outside a house of pleasure. With the advent of electricity and Edison's invention, they started using red light bulbs. With electrical bulbs a woman could turn it off when she is currently occupied.
Even the word "hour" we inherited from Greek is thought to be related to the hour's sacrament with the temple holy "whore".
