Oddmensah) The similarity with this entry of 1995 belongs to the song "Tears don´t lie" or "Tränen lugen nicht". It´s nearly identical. Both melodies are very beautiful, though. But it is a copy!

J'adore cette chanson. Celle-ci est actuellement chantée par son auteur compositeur Pierre Theunis lors de certains de ses spectacles.

I don't mean they are similar in melody, just in style - since they're both anthemic songs with a life-affirming message. You're right though, "Avanti la vie" was also a WAY better song (and, also, in the strong year that was '95 this one really had no chance).

This is another time when you make a comparison I don't see at all. "Avanti la vie" was certainly a unique song (great guitar riff), slow but determined. I don't find these two to sound similar at all; this is more anthemic (and nowhere near as good, imo).

An effort by Belgium to repeat their top-5 success with "Avanti la Vie" with a similar-sounding song, but it wasn't 1984 anymore...

Poor Belgium; the 90s really wasn't their Eurovision era, was it? They would make a great comeback three years later, though.

The song was okay, bot certainly not a Top Tenner. I really like the singer though. What a hottie.
