Hardcastle Crags

Lightbulb was commissioned by Judith Patrick, National Trust Property Manager for the Marsden Moor Estate and Hardcastle Crags. Both films were showcased at an internal Spring Conference attended by National Trust staff from all over the Yorkshire and North East Region and then shown at the re-launch of the Yorkshire Moors and Dales fundraising appeal in Leeds, hosted by Director General of the National Trust, Dame Fiona Reynolds, to a wider public audience.

The films will be used to generally promote the two properties, but also to gain support for the Yorkshire Moors and Dales appeal which aims to raise funds to conserve the Trust's Yorkshire countryside properties of Marsden Moor, Hardcastle Crags, the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors and Brimham Rocks. They are available to view on Vimeo (http://vimeo.com/user5349206) and will soon be featured on the National Trust website also.

Lightbulb collaborated with Yorkshire-based Creatives Craig Palmer (film maker/post production) and Gary Stevenson (photographer).

The films feature exclusive poetry from acclaimed local poet Simon Armitage, who also lends his voice to the production. The music for both pieces was provided by The Penguin Cafe Orchestra.
