This is at Central Park. I've got a still shot of it that has hung on my office wall everywhere I've worked since. On the back of the frame the photographer wrote June 12, 1982 - Central Park. Now it could be that they wore the same clothes to perform at Battery Park later.

Bruce had not been on the bill. When the NYT coverage the next day went with a headline about the size of the crowd, an acquaintance of mine said the correct headline was "Springsteen plays Central Park."

@bruchee - i was at the no nukes rally in central park & it was during nice spring weather, see the shirt sleeves everyone is wearing. i think it was June 12, 1982 & that person who put together brucebase or the place where brucebase got their info simply wrote the date in the european style, which is day/month/year as opposed to the u.s. style which is month/day/year. then again, i can be totally wrong:)

at least these musicians are DOING something- working for change, raising awareness for a cause they believe in-safe energy. And in their 60's and 70's today they are STILL making a bigger difference than the people arguing on the internet.
