He ain't going too low... That's what we call FULL reps, if you actually feel pain going that low, your joints are kinda weak or you're just not used to it.
why you don`t show us with proper weights ... ?

90 degree is not enough, for shoulders you need to do more reps, but with lower weights, to control well dumb-bells
