I use Steroids for 3yrs and I have friends that uses steroids for over 5yrs and guess what!! we are all alive and health! Im 27yrs just had a full body check up and everything is fine including LIVER, TESTICLES, SPERM COUNT!!

I DO NOT agree with steroids user under the age of 21 and I thing people should research about it before start using. It have some side effects but IT DOESNT KILL YOU!

Steroids doesn't make u wanna kill yourself if anything u might piss me off and I'll wanna kill you. They didn't mention in the video that he was having trouble at home and was put on anti depression medication now did they. No cause they want u to believe what they want u to believe get all the facts before you wanna put the blame on something else other than yourself

There's no proof or any medical study that confirms that steroids cause depression or that they are dangerous for teens.Taylor also dosen't look that big or ripped and buffed?

Anotther parent pushing their child too hard, too much pressure. IMO when Taylor killed himself the family was embarassed and ashamed so they took the path of being victims of something beyond their control. Donald Hooton would not even comment on the use of alcohol and tabacco which kills hundreds of thousands each year compared to the few by steroids.

Antidepressants cause about 400,000 deaths per year, and steroid deaths are in the single digits. Don't you think that the fact that Taylor was taking antidepressants, a class of drugs that are well-known for causing thousands of suicides per year (especially in adolescents), plays a major factor in his death? Do you believe it's irresponsible to not target the drug companies that played a major role in his death, knowing these facts?

I agree this is very tragic ,but Mr. Hooton is making a jihad on steroids. Steroids are more safe than most drugs. It was definately the SSRIs that made him commit suicide. I was put on paxil I would know. I have taken steroids too. The depression/anxiety from getting off the steroids is nothing compared to getting off the SSRIs. Everything now a days is o u have this problem. take this pill to fix the problem...gawdddd this system is fuckkkddd

@elliotuk999 I agree with you. most psychiatrists won't prescribe SSRI's and other antidepressants to young people under the age of 18 without strict monitoring of the patient. There is proven scientific evidence that they increase suicidal ideation in the young population. There are no studies completed to date that prove that steroid use increases risk of suicide.

sorry for your loss but youre barking up the wrong tree, there has been extensive research in this area and the sudden drop in serotonin after stopping antidepressants is a major cause of suicides, especially in some types that have a very low half life such as paroxetine.

the fact that he was taking steroids is irrelevant. more people die from getting struck by lightening than from steroid use.
