Roxy the Rescue

Today I drove outside the city to pick up a young BC that the family didn't want anymore. It sounded like they cared about her, but didn't look like it when I got there.

Poor Roxy has been living outside on the same short chain since she was 2 months old. She is now 9 months. She had a bone dry water dish, a doghouse with a few pieces of straw, and no food.

She's never met another dog since she left her siblings, never been in a vehicle, never seen a vet, and never been in a home. Today she had many firsts!

I brought her out to Sally for a little bit of work. She is eager for love and it won't take long at all until she is shining brightly! She LOVES all humans and can't get enough love.

She had NO idea what to think of other dogs, and barked her head off at them telling them to stay away. Thank God for deaf dogs... Dee Dee wasn't bothered by it and she's really helping Roxy come out of her shell around other dogs and learn how to play!
