Full audio commentary analysis of Manos: The Hands of Fate by film scholar Jared Roberts uncovers the Marxist subtext of the cult classic, and the subversive, revolutionary brilliance of director Hal P. Warren.
The backstory: October 2010 I recorded this audio commentary based off some humorous "analyses" of classic 'bad' movies I'd written. I and some friends had planned to release a Special Edition DVD of Manos: The Hands of Fate with my commentary as well as some other special features. Circumstances beyond my control, alas, delayed the project for several months. Just when I'd begun to work on the project again, Shout! Factory announced a Special Edition of Manos with the MST3k commentary. As much as I love MST3k, I must say I'm a little bitter about being 'cockblocked'. As a microdistributor, there's no way I could compete.
However, Manos is public domain and the free press of the internet still gives me an outlet. An outlet from which I will make no money, unfortunately. But all the better for you! Here's the full commentary for your enjoyment.
If you enjoy this, please leave some kind feedback and share the link. Let me know if you'd like more. Because this commentary was, in fact, intended to be part of a series. Beast of Yucca Flats could be next! Or Monster a Go Go!
I'm going to link to this and hopefully get a couple more people to listen to your commentary. That dry humor deserves some airing out. Unfortunately, I have almost no readers or followers, but every bit helps, right? Also, you might consider getting in touch with the guy behind the manosinhd website to see if he'd be interested in including your commentary.

Great! Thanks a lot, dude! I'll check out this "Manos in HD" business and have a look-see. I'm pretty sure Manos was shot in 'extremely low def', though. Cheers! @meattrademark

That's one heckuva shaggy dog story. I recommend the Blood Simple commentary to the commentator. Good job, @Roubiere.

Wow, someone listened to the whole thing? Hours and hours of work, 7 months waiting has all paid off. Cheers! @meattrademark
