This is Jerry Reed Live at the Ft. Lauderdale Swap Shop in May of 1992. Jerry Reed was one of the greatest guitar players in the History of Popular Music. He was also a good actor.

  • God is jealous of you...

  • I wonder who has the telecaster now. I wish I had it.

  • @joshanator1 True, he had a huge stage persona and a unique voice, but he could play the guitar pretty well. That solo album - American Recordings - is proof enough of that. Although, again, it's the singing, the sound of his voice that made the album what it is.

lol. Well Johnny was never known for his guitar prowess!

  • Sure could play the guitar better than Johnny Cash

  • always seemed to be having fun and sharing it...

  • GO Jerry GO!

  • PRAISE JERRY REED!!!!!!!

  • I love it!!! Johnny Cash was good, but he'll never compare to the wonderful talent of Jerry Reed! We love and miss you, Jerry!

Actually a very young Jerry Reed quit high school after he had been out on the road with Ernest Tubb and then Johnny Cash.

Johnny recorded a Reed song later called "A Thing Called Love" and had Jerry on his tv show.
