  • @SirTaylorRyan If anything, it's a one cycle.

  • sounds like a GT500

  • I'm amazed by the sound of this thing!

Anyway, rotary engines are four-strokes - that is, they use the Otto Cycle.

Each rotor has three ignition events per revolution, versus one ignition every two rotations of the crank on a 4-stroke piston engine, and one per revolution on a 2-stroke.

However, the rotors are geared at 3:1 to the output shaft, so it's 1 ignition per rotation of the output shaft - like a 2-stroke, hence the sound, power and fuel consumption.

  • @ododargo like

  • @SirTaylorRyan think the rotor be rotor young luke 2 stroke dont have valves

  • @MrDavy86 Well sir, wouldn't that make it a 1/3 stroke instead of a three stroke?

  • @SirTaylorRyan count the tips on the rotor each one does a job suzuki factory mechanic me

  • @MrDavy86 Uh no, it's actually a one stroke. It doesn't have valves, if it was a three stroke 2/3 of the gas would just dump straight out the exhaust.
