I love Old Kanye. But I also love New Kanye. I love his expansion. I can't stand it when people say "Oh I only like the old Kanye, College Dropout is his best album, he should have stayed the same", because that's essentially boxing him in. It's people like that that The Phoenix in Runaway was talking about. Anything that's different, they try to change.

I don't think you get my point. I dislike that purely because Ye wants to grow as an artist, he gets treated like his career has gone nowhere but downhill just because it's different. Which is bullshit. I dislike that people automatically trash something just because it doesn't sound like something else. You just don't see artistry like Ye's in Hip-Hop and will continue to support what he does. I'm not following the trend of liking shit others hate or haven't heard of. I'm just open minded.

Late Registration was Epic. Graduation was his pop crowning achievement. 808s is underrated as fuck. We wouldn't have guys like Frank Ocean, The Weeknd, Kid Cudi and Drake it if didn't exist. MBDTF is his Opus, straight up. And Yeezus is a brilliant anti-pop record. I thought it was "only OK" on the first listen, and yet I can't stop playing it. It's grown on me a ton and will probably grow more. He's got a boss discography. I don't need to admit anything is shit, because to me, it's not.

I cant stand when people just like stuff because it's different. If someone only likes his old stuff then why does it matter? That is their taste of music. They dont HAVE to like it just because it's different and new. I personally like old kanye's stuff. Now, that doesn mean i dont respect what he's doing and that his new stuff sucks. I just like the old stuff better. No one's boxing anyone in. Theyre just saying they like his old stuff better than the new stuff. It's an opinion just like yours

Lol if you knew about Ye for real, you'd know he was always like that. He never doubted his abilities and was always speaking his mind. He didn't "change". You just weren't aware of it in those days. I don't care of he gives me half his check or not. I care about his music and the boundaries it pushes. That's what I respect about him more than anything. He's gone to musical places others didn't dare to go and made it out alive. Straight up G.O.A.T.
