This is one of seventeen little CG movies that are featured in SRW Alpha (the Playstation version). This particular one involves the Volt Machines combining to form Voltes V.

  • can u plz tell me the name of the game & where can i find it??

  • Name: Super Robot Wars Alpha

    System: Playstation 1

    Released: May 2000

Where to Buy: Import Retailers, Online Auction Sites

  • One very simple question: How much time do you spend for it?

  • *sigh* I didn't make this. I ripped this video from a game and uploaded it for everyone that's a fan of Voltes V and the Super Robot Wars series to see.

If you're asking me about the video ripping process, then it took just a few minutes. I don't recall the name of the program that I used, as it's been a while since I ripped this video and the others I uploaded.

  • What's with the midi bg? Assuming then-Bandai made this, it should've forced both Toei Animation and Sunrise (both studios collab.'d for this anime) to get the master tracks of the anime's OST, or then could've asked the record label the license to allow them to use the OP.

I know that sounded rather elitist of me, but there are some things I tend to be anal on.

  • Bandai didn't make this...at least them not directly. This CG clip comes from a Playstation 1 game (Super Robot Wars Alpha). As my description mentioned there are 16 other videos. Aside from "Voltes V's Song", there are 86 other music tracks in SRW Alpha. Combine that with a ****load of character voice clips, and it should be pretty obvious why Banpresto (the people that made SRW Alpha) couldn't use anything but midi for the music format.

  • I wouldn't call any series better. Macross had epic space battles and enough missiles to start a revolution, but had a bit of a cheesy side. Evangelion was heavy, artistic, existentialist, but also very mind raping.

Voltes V on the other hand, was a relatively dark story with serious revolutionary undertones and abandonment issues. Resolved with a combining robot wielding a giant sword.

Hell, this was banned by Ferdinand Marcos back in the 70's for being "too violent."

  • YAY for the old school robots, gundams are awesome but they're overrated

  • @PongoElite download an emulator and find the iso .. much better hahahah

  • we need a movie made on this wonderful work of art

  • My favorite Super Robot!

  • First time I saw this in the game I realized they didn't use the original actors' voices. The Voltes V cry at the end is different from the anime cry. Just see it for yourself, there're videos of it here in youtube.

  • er... Zardoz for the Phil. dub Zargo sounds like a billiards move :D

  • HELL YA bro, Prince Zargo or whatever his name hacks off a bird's head and drinks its blood, does NOT get any more BADASS than that!! Especially considering this was made in the 70s!!
