  • yes

  • Invisalign can close open bites as this patient can attest to. The main problem when the teeth have been finished is the bite opening again. If the patient is willing to wear their retainer at night the teeth will stay in place. When you had your original braces done you did not wear your retainer and the muscles from your tongue pushed the teeth out. This will happen again if you do not wear your retainer after invisalign.

  • This person had an open bite (gap) between his teeth when he would bite down. The invisalign closed the gap so when he bites down his teeth touch. I do not understand what ur dentist is talking about. Sorrry

  • if the patient where's his retainers it will stay that way. This patient is fully informed about the possibility of relapse and the choice of surgery. He elected to do this instead.

  • now ahrgha agha!

  • What is the age limit to using non-surgical methods to correct an open bite? I heard that past a certain age, surgery is the only option.

  • Are the buttons placed on his teeth removed once treatment is over?

  • Im 16 and I have an open bite, when I went for an invisaline consoltation they took photos and stuff and sent the info to the states, but the invisiline people told me invisaline would not work on my open bite. This is really annoying because i really dont want to wear normal braces!! Are normal ones stronger then invisaline or something is that why i cant wear them??

  • I had an open bite when I was younger due to tounge thrusting and I got braces to eradicate that problem. Now at 18, the bite is coming back slowly but surely. I just want to make sure I'm not wasting my money or time getting insalign because a lot has been said that they can only close gaps between teeth. my teeth are already pretty straight, I jut need them to come back in a bit to close the gap. Can insalign really do that? my gap's not as bad as this guy's yet

  • Im going through the same process as this guy here.

But my dentist is saying while putting buttons on my teeth it will form a gap on top of my two front teeth (which I dont have now).

SHOULD THIS BE HAPPING???? (pls someone reply) lol.

  • how many mm was it?
