@Bemytubebuddy I think you may be getting the RNLI and the Coastguard mixed up?? The Coastguard is Government funded and some personnel are volunteers but the RNLI is not Government funded and needs public donations to continue operating...

Well done coastguard. I wish you the very best and hope that the guy you helped is doing alright. The coastgard agency needs sponsers as they do not get any funds from the Government o other.
