Manchester was going to develope an underground system in 1971, and opened in 1977. It was going to be from piccadily station to victoria. It was called the PICC-VIC TUNNEL. but was considered to be too ,expensive. You can see picture of it on wikipedia....

Horn - too quiet. Seats - more comfortable but too little. Most of the time I find myself standing.

not to mention people always lean on the emergency call buttons when its packed out these trams deign is poor they only cost 2 million u pay for what u get Metrolink=crap system

I hate the M5000 trams there to small get more overcrowded more than the old ones less seats seats are crap breaks struggle in the ice on shudehill bounce and shake and are plastic not to mention look uncool

the new metrolinks are scary, the horn isnt loud plus the engines are silent in manchester streets

@sega31098 Not quite, Piccadilly station built into in the basement or undercroft of Manchester Piccadilly rail station, underneith the main railway platforms......
